These actions are available in the iOS app. Open Gramello at least once after installation, then use Siri or find Gramello's actions in the Shortcuts app. Settings → Ask Siri lists example phrases. Include “in Gramello” when speaking so Siri can identify the app, and unlock your device when asked.
Check your day
Try one of these phrases:
- “What macros do I have left today in Gramello?”
- “Give me today's summary in Gramello.”
- “How much protein have I logged today in Gramello?”
The response uses today's logged food and current goals. You can also ask about calories, carbs, or fat. Unlogged food is not included.
Hear your weekly macro check-in
Say “Hey Siri, give me my macro check-in in Gramello.” You can also open Shortcuts → App Shortcuts → Gramello → Macro check-in.
The check-in compares logged-day averages with your current goals for the seven completed days before today. It excludes today and days with no food entries, and tells you how many days contributed. A logged day may still be incomplete.
Log water
- Say “Log water in Gramello.” Provide the amount and choose milliliters or US fluid ounces when Siri asks.
- Return to Diary to check the new entry. Pull to refresh if it has not appeared.
This logs water to today. Each successful run adds a new entry; running the same action twice logs twice. Remove an unwanted water entry in the diary.
Log a saved meal
- Say “Log a saved meal in Gramello.”
- Choose a recipe from My meals and a diary meal, such as Lunch. The default is one serving; change the servings parameter in Shortcuts for a different amount.
- Return to Diary to check the new entry. Pull to refresh if it has not appeared.
This logs the saved meal to today. Each successful run adds a new entry, so remove any duplicates in the diary.
Repeat yesterday's meal
Say “Add yesterday's lunch to today in Gramello.” Breakfast, dinner, and snacks work too. This copies all logged entries from that meal yesterday into the same meal today, keeping the original portions and nutrition. Existing entries remain.
Check the diary before repeating the command so you do not add the meal twice.
Ask for a meal or snack idea
Say “Hey Siri, suggest an easy meal in Gramello” or “Hey Siri, suggest an easy snack in Gramello.” Siri looks for a built-in idea that fits your remaining calories, protein, carbs, and fat based on today's logged food.
Suggestions include portions and estimated nutrition, and do not log food automatically. They do not filter for allergies or dietary preferences, so check the ingredients yourself. If nothing fits, Siri says so; this does not mean you should skip eating.
If a phrase does not work
Open Gramello, check that Siri is enabled in your device settings, and try the action directly in Shortcuts. Make sure your installed app includes the action you want; Settings → Ask Siri shows the available examples. If you still need help, contact support with your app version and the action you tried.
