Use My meals for a recipe or combination of foods you eat often. Save the whole batch once, then choose your portion each time you log it.
Build a meal
- Open Add food → My meals → Create meal and enter a Meal name.
- Tap Add ingredient, find a food, choose its amount and unit, and tap Add ingredient on the amount screen. Repeat for the whole recipe.
- Check each ingredient amount. Under Finished batch weight, enter the cooked or prepared food's weight without its container, if you have it.
- Under Plan your portions, choose Equal servings, Grams per portion, or Ounces per portion, then fill in the matching field.
- Review the whole-batch and per-portion nutrition, then tap Save meal.
If every ingredient has a known weight, Gramello can estimate the batch weight. Cooking can change that weight, so a measured finished weight gives a better basis for portions. If an ingredient is measured by volume or has no known weight, a finished batch weight is required.
Nutrition assumes the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the meal. For example, a batch weighing 800 g divided into four equal servings has a 200 g serving. You can still log a different amount later.
Log a saved meal
- In Diary, choose the date and tap the + next to the meal you want.
- Open My meals. Use Search my meals to find your recipe, then select it.
- Choose servings, grams, or ounces and enter the amount you ate.
- Check the nutrition and selected diary meal, then tap its Add to button.
Creating a recipe saves it to your library. Logging it is a separate step.
Edit or delete a recipe
In My meals, use the edit control beside a saved meal to change its name, ingredients, batch weight, or portions, then tap Save meal. Use the delete control and its confirmation to remove a recipe from the library.
Editing or deleting a saved recipe does not change food already logged in your diary. To correct an old entry, remove it and log the corrected portion.
Keep your recipes when changing devices
Saved meals are included in a Gramello backup. Follow back up and move your data before moving to a new phone.
